Kermit News was the print journal of the Kermit Project from 1986 to 1995; subscriptions were free of charge. After 1995 it became too expensive for us to print and mail Kermit News. Since then, the Kermit website is the source for all Kermit information, news, and updates (you can always check the “What's New” page). The following past Kermit issues are archived on the Kermit FTP and Web sites:
Issue | Date | ASCII | PostScript | HTML | |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
No.1 | 7/1986 | Not available | Not available | Not available | newsn1.pdf |
No.2 | 11/1987 | newsn2.txt | newsn2.ps | Not available | newsn2.pdf |
No.3 | 6/1988 | newsn3.txt | newsn3.ps | newsn3.html | newsn3.pdf |

The first issue was done in PageMaker on a Macintosh. Numbers 2 through 6 were done in the Scribe markup language set to produce both text and PostScript output; numbers 2 and 3 on the DEC-20, numbers 4-6 on Unix. PDF versions were added in October 2010 and March 2011: Numbers 1, 2, and 3 by scanning, Numbers 4-6 by converting the PostScript with ps2pdf.
