Central Park Zoo, architect Aymur Embury II. Opening day, December 1, 1934. Sea lion pool in foreground, which still exists in the same spot and approximatley the same form; Kelley's Restaurant and dining terrace in back (long gone), with animal-themed bas reliefs across the top, a motif used throughout the zoo.
